Hagia Sophia: This basilica, built by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian in the 6th century, is renowned for its architectural applications and the splendor of its dome (we visit Kariye Museum instead of the Hagia Sophia Museum on Mondays).

Blue Mosque: Built in the 17th century on behalf of Sultan Ahmet, this Selatin mosque is famous for its 6 minarets, the only example in the world, and the precious Iznik tiles used in interior decoration.

Horse Square (Hippodrome): The ancient horse square in Sultanahmet Square is the most important square of Byzantium, which has been the scene of car races in the Eastern Roman Period. The Egyptian and Byzantine Obelisks erected during the Theodosius Period, the Serpentine Column and the German Fountain built during the Ottoman Period adorn the square.

Covered Bazaar: We walk through the labyrinthine streets of one of the world's few covered bazaars, amongst thousands of small shops in a revel of color (closed on Sundays).
